Activated Carbon Filter Working Principle
A simple, effective, and automated process for adsorbing pollutants from fluid.
Influent
Wastewater or gas enters the top of the filter.
Adsorption
Fluid passes through the carbon bed; pollutants are adsorbed.
Purification
Purified fluid is collected at the bottom.
Backwashing
When pressure drop increases, backwashing removes trapped solids.
Rinsing
After backwashing, the carbon bed is rinsed to resettle it.
Effluent
Clean, treated fluid is discharged.
