WTEYA Concludes a Successful Run at ICIF China 2026 in Shanghai
The 2026 China International Chemical Industry Fair (ICIF China 2026) drew to a close at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, and WTEYA's booth (E5D40) stayed busy from the opening bell to the final hour. Over three days we met chemical producers, engineering contractors and project owners from across China and overseas — and put three of our core pieces of equipment on live display.
Three Machines That Drew the Crowd
Rather than posters and brochures, we brought hardware. Visitors could walk up to each unit, inspect the fabrication, ask about materials and discuss their own duty conditions on the spot.
1. Heat Exchanger for a 5 t/h MVR Evaporator
The first unit on the stand was the tube-side heat exchanger built for a 5 t/h mechanical vapour recompression (MVR) evaporator. MVR systems recover the latent heat of evaporated vapour and reuse it as the heating source, which is why the heat exchanger sits at the very heart of the loop: it decides how efficiently that recovered heat actually reaches the liquid. The exchanger on display is fabricated in corrosion-resistant grade material with a fully welded tube-to-tubesheet joint, and visitors spent a good deal of time examining the tube bundle, the welding and the shell-side layout.
2. Mother Liquor Drying Equipment
The second machine was our mother liquor drying unit. In zero liquid discharge and crystallisation projects, the mother liquor left after crystallisation is the hardest stream to handle — high in residual salts, organics and moisture, and awkward to dispose of. The drying unit reduces that stream to a solid or semi-solid residue, cutting the volume that has to leave the plant and making the whole ZLD chain close properly. Several visitors working on chemical and lithium-battery projects asked detailed questions about capacity, energy consumption and material of construction.
3. Membrane Equipment
The third unit was a membrane skid. Membrane separation normally works upstream of evaporation: it concentrates the stream, removes suspended and colloidal matter and protects the thermal stages downstream, which lowers both investment and operating cost for the whole train. The skid on display showed how we integrate pre-treatment, membrane modules and control instrumentation into a compact, container-friendly package.

Conversations on the stand clustered around a few practical themes: how to cut the energy bill of an existing evaporation train, how to close the loop on high-salinity streams, what material to specify when chloride content is high, and how to scale a pilot result up to full production. Because WTEYA designs evaporation, crystallisation, membrane and drying stages together, we could discuss those questions as one integrated flowsheet rather than as separate pieces of equipment — which is precisely why so many visitors came back for a second or third visit with colleagues.
